Nature Walks

Believing Is Seeing Nature Walks

“If you will stay close to Nature, to its simplicity, to the small things hardly noticeable, those things can unexpectedly become great and immeasurable.” Rainer Maria Rilke

How you interact with and react to your environment, especially if it’s new, says a lot about how you perceive the world around you. However, for many people, developing an understanding of those interactions and reactions is uncharted territory. Fortunately, there’s no better place to undertake this journey than in Nature! Because Nature is constantly showing us all the signs we need to know in order to come to that understanding.

So, let’s take a walk!

Madeleine L’Engle, who wrote the Wrinkle in Time books, said this: “Some things have to be believed to be seen.” Signs, which can include objects, images, sounds, thoughts, or feelings, often go unnoticed simply because we have not learned to watch for them and to make them meaningful in relation to how we navigate our daily lives. And you don’t need a crystal ball or a magic wand to learn to see the signposts along the way. You just need to notice what’s right in front of you and then – and here’s what might be a challenge for some of you – take a leap of faith that what you’re seeing is being presented to you for a reason. And then, if you choose, take action based on what the sign means for you.

Each walk is designed to demonstrate how we can be out in the world but not actually aware of the world. Along the way, I’ll show you how to really look at your surroundings in order to understand what you’re doing and why. You’ll experience for yourself how, although you construct your initial perception of the world using your sensory organs, it’s actually how you feel about what you’re sensing that in fact often drives you to some kind of action.

Here are your takeaways:

  • You’ll be a little more aware of what captures your attention – and why.
  • You’ll be able to recognize that there is a connection between what you focus your attention on and how you navigate your daily life.
  • You’ll learn how to consciously interact with Nature to guide your footsteps.
  • You’ll experience for yourself how to use “drive-by intuition” to see the signs and signposts in Nature that are important, meaningful – and I firmly believe intended just for you!
